Men's Retreat Activities

4 on 4 Basketball Fri after service at Fredericktown Middle School

4 Wheeling: on your own Fri & Sat. 

Options:

1. You can ride on campus & thru the woods BUT you must honor all “No Trespassing” signs & “Do Not Enter” tape.  You are not welcome to ride on neighbors property.

 PINECREST 4 WHEELING RULES:

bulletYou are not to ride on Pinecrest Campus after dark.
bulletDrive in first or second gear slowly until you get past the ball fields!
bulletNo racing or reckless driving.
bulletDo not ride around cabins, dorm, swimming pool, gym, across the dam or sewer lagoon area!
bulletStay Off all Grassy areas.

  2.  St. Joe park in Park Hills, MO
 Go to: 
http://www.mostateparks.com/stjoe/trails.htm  Be sure to read their ORV rules & regulations.
 Cost $3 per day.  St. Joe can be dangerous, especially on weekends [Sat & Sun], due to reckless drivers!

  3.  Washita MX Park in Farmington, MO.  http://www.washitamx.com  Cost $10-$15 per day.  Call 573 756-5656  to check on price for the day you will be riding.  Washita is a new park with a good safety record.

Archery: on your own

BLITZ CHESSThink chess is a slow game?  Think again!  In Blitz Chess you play against an opponent and the clock.  It’s fast moving and fun, a real test.  Double elimination tournament; clocks, pieces and boards are provided; printed rules; done by midnight; tournament quality quartz chess clock first prize; tournament chess set and board w/carrying case runner-up.  George Cargill in charge.  Have questions?  Email: gcargill@harvesternazarene.com

Blue Grass Jam: Jam session Friday nite at Pinecrest Chapel after the service.  Bring your instrument and join in.

Cache n Dash

1. There are 15 35mm. film canisters (caches) hidden that participants are looking for.  These canisters may be found in a tree or near the base of a rock or tree.  DO NOT REMOVE THE CANISTERS.

2. Each of these caches is marked with a scripture verse. 

3. Each participant will be given an index card and a pencil for recording the scripture verse.  Along with the index card, each participant will be given a separate sheet of paper with the coordinates for the caches.

4. Participants should start as soon as they get their flyer and index card.  Their name and time of receipt will be on the card.

5. When you are given you card and flyer you will have *4 hours to complete as many caches as you can find.

6. The earliest person to finish with the most finds will be determined the winner.

Disclaimer:  Please remember where you are and please respect the environment.  It is helpful and responsible to remove any trash you find laying around while playing.  Geo cachers call this “Cache In Trash Out” or CITO. 

Car Show will be held Saturday Morning from 7:30—9:30.  You do not have to bring an antique to enter.

Fishing Tournament: Begins Fri at 8 am and ends at 5 pm

Frisbee Golf: Anytime during retreat activities.

GOLF TOURNAMENT:  8am Friday @ Eagle Lake Golf Course, Farmington!  Cost: $43 [Cost includes: 18 holes of golf with cart PLUS FREE Breakfast, all the sodas you can drink & FREE Lunch.]  You must be at the course @ 8 AM sharp!  The tournament will be a 4 man scramble.  Gary Romine is in charge.  You can contact him @ 573-756-1234 [Ask for Gary.  This is his place of business so be sure to leave or give a message.  He will get back with you.]  Please include with your paper registration: your average score [if you know] and the names of 3 other players that you will golf with.  If you don’t mind who you golf with Gary will put you on a team.  If you register on-line you must email us this information.  PLEASE LET GARY KNOW EARLY.  IT WILL HELP TREMENDOUSLY!

NOTE:  NEW DIRECTIONS IF COMING FROM NORTH OF FARMINGTON ON 67  Take the Leadington/Park Hills exit.  Go left and stay on  that road [about 4 miles] to Stop sign [Hunt Rd]  Turn Left - Eagle Lake will be on the left. [Reason:  All crossovers on 67 from Bonne Terre to Farmington have been permanently closed.]

 Directions coming from the south: 67 north to Hunt Rd.  Turn right - Golf course will be on left past the Stop sign.

Horse Shoes: on your own

Ladder Golf Friday nite after service in the gym.

Linden Target Sports:  Friday 9-noon and 1-4:30 pm; Saturday 1-4 pm  Linden Target Sports is a traveling, on location Sporting Clays Shooting Gallery.  All electric traps and totally automated rabbit runs, pheasant flurries, etc.  This company does it all.  Gring lots of ammo.  We are charging $15 to shoot for the weekend!  Price does not include shells.  Arm bands may be purchased on line or at the registration booth.  You can shoot all you have sells and shoulder for.  (Shells will be available to purchase.)

Motorcycle & Convertible Ride: Meet at Pinecrest by Dining Hall at 10 am.  Bring money for your lunch as we will all stop & eat together.  There will be available space in the convertibles for riders. Ride: 2-3 hrs including lunch.

Motorcycle Show: Sat 7:30—9am

Paint Ball: Must bring own gear.  Safety will be priority.  Eye and head protection are mandatory!  There will be a limited amount of paint balls to buy.

Ping Pong Tournament Friday after service in gym.

Pit Stop: Open Thursday—Saturday.  A snack shack with lots of goodies!

Rook Tournament: Basement of Pinecrest Chapel after Fri Service

Softball Tournament: 8 am Friday Teams chosen on site.

Swimming: indoor heated pool

Washer Toss Tournament Friday after service at Lakeside Chapel

Worship: If you sing on your local Praise Team or play an instrument sign up & come .  Rehearsal Thurs at 8 pm. 

ALL YOUNG MEN BETWEEN AGES OF 13 & 17 MUST BE ACCOMPAINED BY AN ADULT! If Adult is not your parent you must download a Medical Release Form, have it notarized and mailed or faxed to us.  Without the form you will not be allowed to come.  Fax: 573-783-8169
