COVID-19 Statement:
Groups are encouraged to check a camper's temperature BEFORE departing for Pinecrest. Anyone who is running a fever should be asked to stay home until the fever has subsided and is free of any other COVID symptoms.
- Any camper/counselor/staff member who feels ill after arriving at Pinecrest must see their camp nurse immediately. If the nurse finds ANY symptoms that could be COVID related a COVID test must be performed and the individual must be masked and quarantined until the results of the test are known. Groups are strongly encouraged to have COVID rapid tests available to their camp nurse when they arrive at Pinecrest.
- Groups must have a plan in place to get an ill camper/counselor/staff member home if they test positive for COVID (or are unable to take a COVID test) within 24 hrs of the symptoms becoming known.
- Pinecrest Management needs to be alerted to the possibility of a COVID illness as soon as possible (notification can be sent via text 24 hrs a day). Updates about the ill individual and what steps are being taken (should there be a positive COVID test result) will be provided to Pinecrest as information becomes available.
The cleanliness of our facilities and grounds has always been a top priority at Pinecrest, we have implemented the following changes:
As always, we will work closely with camp leadership and camp nurses to ensure every precaution is being taken to protect camper’s health while at Pinecrest.
We look forward to seeing and serving you!

The cleanliness of our facilities and grounds has always been a top priority at Pinecrest, we have implemented the following changes:
- New hand-washing station has been set up outside of the Dining Hall. All guests will be asked to wash their hands before lining up for a meal or entering the building.
- New sneeze guard installed over the full length of the food bar.
- Dining Hall can be set up with all round tables instead of rectangular tables if a group desires.
- Dorm and public bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected daily by our cleaning staff.
- UVC lights will be used to disinfect rooms if a guest illness is reported after arrival. This is an extra step to help ensure every surface of a room is sanitized.
- We are encouraging our groups to spread their housing out as much as possible (especially in the dorms). Often times we have housing that goes unused and the additional buildings can be used to reduce crowding in dorms.
As always, we will work closely with camp leadership and camp nurses to ensure every precaution is being taken to protect camper’s health while at Pinecrest.
